Investing and other projects
Olubi made his first angel investment in early 2021. Since then, he has made more than 60 investments and deployed over $4 million of his own capital across startups, venture funds, film and hospitality.
Most of his direct investments are in Nigerian businesses. He also invests in European startups through a Dutch venture fund and is affiliated with other funds investing in Africa.
The most visible of his film investments is The Black Book, a Nigerian film released on Netflix in 2023. The film reached the top three on Netflix’s global chart, with independent coverage identifying Olubi among the Nigerian technology entrepreneurs who financed the production.
In 2026, Olubi is based in the Netherlands. He continues to invest across Africa and Europe and to build and operate his own computing infrastructure.
